What is TUDOOR?

TUDOOR is a universal and platform-independent Java interface to IBM RationalŪ DOORSŪ. It allows an easy integration into your own Java applications and requires no specific knowledge of the DOORS eXtension Language (DXL).

Key Benefits

  • Easy and efficient access to DOORS data
  • No DOORS-specific knowledge (DXL) required
  • Application-independent access to DOORS via Java API
  • Secure and flexible TCP/IP communication
  • Meets requirements of safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178B with regard to requirements traceability
  • No need to develop your own DOORS interface
  • Reduces software development time

Key features

  • Fully-documented Java API for accessing DOORS
  • Encapsulation of DXL through use of Java classes
  • Read and write DOORS elements, view links, and navigate directly to DOORS objects
  • Sample Java applications are supplied to illustrate just how easy it is to use TUDOOR
  • License types: single developer, group, site, company
  • Fully documented API source code available on request
  • MES provides TUDOOR application development consulting

Why should you use TUDOOR?

Accessing DOORS from your Java application with TUDOOR is very easy and presumes only Java programming skills. Many companies do not want to develop applications with DXL in order to access the DOORS database, since the DOORS API, the DXL script language, requires specific programming skills often not available in many companies.

Who already uses TUDOOR?

Bosch, Daimler, and Siemens are just some of the clients already using TUDOOR to access a DOORS database from external test tools, manage DOORS modules, track test process, generate documents from requirements specifications, etc.
