Dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge

Model Engineering Solutions is actively involved in research and development. We are currently involved in the MAJA and MQAC project. Recently completed research projects include IMMOS and CTT.

MAJA - MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow Java Adapter

The aim of the MAJA research project is to develop a generic Java interface for Simulink on the basis of a Simulink meta-model that encapsulates the Simulink M-API .

MQAC

The aim of the Model Quality Assessment Center (MQAC) project is to define quality metrics and quality criteria for models used in model-based development. Our particular focus is on quality metrics for Simulink® and TargetLink models. This two-year project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (ref. no.: IW090031)

Completed Research Projects

IMMOS

The IMMOS research project aimed at devising an integrated method for the model-based development of embedded control unit software. The method integrates existing model-based techniques, in particular model-based requirements engineering, model-based code generation, and model-based testing, to form a single coherent development method. The project was funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education as part of their IT Research 2006 program.

CTT

The Classification Tree Transformer (CTT) project aimed at developing a heuristic description procedure for testers’ empirical knowledge. A tool (the CTT) was then developed on the basis of this description method that performed the classification tree supplementation automatically, and was capable of being integrated into the MTest classic test environment. Our partners on this project included the Real-time Systems Lab at the Technical University of Darmstadt and DaimlyerChrylser.
